Welcome to Misty Top !
Enter into the open concept living room with tall vaulted ceilings, fireplace, kitchen, and several windows. You can sit back on the sofa and enjoy the fireplace or watch a movie on the large flat screen TV. This cabin is located just North of Gatlinburg and even closer to Glades Road , famous for the Arts and Crafts District. You can easily access all the dining options in Gatlinburg or you can stay in and cook in your full kitchen.
The master suite features a Queen bed and full bath with tiled shower and in the living room you will find the powered leather recliner. Enjoy the arcade with several classics or try your luck on Ringo, the ring toss game. Exit to the large covered deck where you can enjoy a evening meal on the bistro table, or a relax in the swing , and indulge in a soak in the new hot tub. The deck also has great ambiance with party lights.
Roast some s'mores over the fire pit and enjoy an outdoor meal on the BBQ grill.
*As with most properties in the Smokys, 4WD is recommended during the winter months and inclement weather.
Shopping is right down the road! From the Five Oaks Mall and the Scrapbook Super Store (the largest in the USA), to the Christmas Store, to Goats on the Roof and the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts loop, you won’t be lacking for a varied shopping experience.
Dining choices are varied from the chains of Red Lobster and Olive Garden to the local Applewood Farmhouse (featuring apple dishes and fritters) and the Old Mill which has delicious corn chowder with corn fritters. And the newest tourist destination is The Island, a walking plaza with amusements, great shopping and restaurants like Margaritaville and Paula Deens. At the Dixie Stampede – a Dollywood production- you receive a feast plus a show! And Dolly's new Pirates show is fun and exciting too.
The main attraction is the Great Smoky Mountain National Park with its numerous and varied outdoor activities. From short, ranger-led family hikes to long, strenuous day hikes, the park has something for everyone. The Cades Cove area offers horseback riding and a sightseeing loop which is open only to bicycles (which can be rented) on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. We had an excellent time at the Misty Top cabin. It exceeded our expectations. Jenessa and her cohosts were extremely attentive, prompt with responses and answered any questions we had. Cute, clean and cozy!! Great communication. Everything needed for home away for home. Private cabin perfect for a couple. The game machine and hot rub are a huge bonus. And the one free ticket to many different activities is an even bigger bonus to save money! My only suggestion is to make sure you get there on your first day during daylight. Those narrow roads are no joke and not sure where you are going was a scary thing! But will definitely stay again next time!Patti Anes – 11/12/2024
